Head down to Larkspur for the Colorado Renaissance Festival which is happening every weekend through August 1st. If you haven’t been to this unusual event, you really should go check it out. There are plenty of activities going on such as jousting, knife juggling, acrobatics, hypnotists and lots of comedy! I really enjoyed the jousting competitions and be sure not to miss “Puke and Snot”. They’ve been performing at the Renaissance Festival for many years. They’re incredibly obnoxious and always a lot of fun! 
You will also have your own opportunity to joust, juggle and there are more competition events that you can compete in. And if any of your friends are being too obnoxious you can have them place in the stocks for a while!
Everyone working the fair is in full renaissance costume and many attendees as well so the people watching is hard to beat. Come hungry because there is plenty of great food and beer! Each weekend has a different theme so check out the website and plan accordingly.
