While used extensively by cyclists, the trail also welcomes walkers and skaters. The paved trail travels alongside the Cherry Creek for much of its 15 mile route southeast from Downtown Denver to the Cherry Creek Reservoir and State Park. Beginning at Confluence Park, where the Cherry Creek empties into the Platte River, it travels through some of Denver's finest neighborhoods, and passes under some of Denver's busiest streets. The trail connects with many cycle ways and park areas, including the Platte River Greenway, and provides easy acccess to the Cherry Creek Mall.
