First developed early in Denver’s history, very few of the original single-family houses stand today. Beginning in the 1950’s, three decades of urban sprawl left Golden Triangle with a plethora of parking lots, car dealerships, and mechanics. More recently, however, the trend has shifted towards residential development, with the construction of over 500 lofts and condominiums in this decade alone. Although several of the original warehouses have been converted to lofts, most of the available real estate is in newer construction. Low-rise condominiums are in abundance; a few high-rise buildings have been constructed, and more are planned. Many of these New York style high-rises offer a full array of services, including underground parking, doormen, and security. Golden Triangle’s recent residential expansion promises the motivated home buyer a nice variety of housing options.
